Maruti Suzuki, the largest car manufacturer launched the much awaited Maruti Alto 800 on 16th October, 2012. The company has been in the Indian car bazaar since a long time, and it has always presented the people with fully-featured and affordable cars. The all new Maruti Alto 800 sports fresh new look, and it is different from the classic Maruti 800. According to the reports, around 200 engineers from Maruti Suzuki and Suzuki Motor Corporation were involved in the development of this car. It is alleged that Maruti Suzuki has taken influence from the Japanese Alto and the A-Star.
The petrol variant of Maruti Alto 800 produces a mileage of 22.7 kilometre per litre whereas the CNG version produces an approximate mileage of 30.46 kilometre per litre. The car features the same 796cc three-cylinder motor (F8D) that was sported in Maruti Alto. The CNG variant is also powered by the similar engine, but it is capable of performing better when compared to the petrol variant. The height of the car has been increased and its length has been reduced marginally. The car features an attractive two-part grille, mildly flared wheel arches, high-mounted petal-shaped headlights and a sporty chin spoiler.
The interior of the car has got better legroom and headspace. The seating arrangement of the car is quite comfortable for five average sized passengers. Maruti Alto 800 sports a striking contemporary looking dash board that has got a solid ‘V’ shape around the central console. It has tweaked suspension and stiffened chassis for better driving experience. The car is available in six different colors like Granite Grey, Torque Blue, Forst Blue, Blazing Red, Superior White and Silky Silver. There are seven different variants of Maruti Alto 800, and all the variants are priced differently.
