The new Alto 800 has been launched in Delhi, India on Tuesday, 16 October, 2012 by Maruti Suzuki India Limited. This new car competes with Tata Nano, Chevrolet Spark, and Hyundai Santro & EON as its price range is between Rs 2.44 lakh and 3.56 lakh. New Maruti Alto 800 comes with new and trendy looks as well as new features to attract a middle class Indian car buyer. This new vehicle comes with extra space inside and offers 15% improved efficiency in comparison to its precursor, said by Maruti Suzuki. New Maruti Alto 800 is shorter than the outgoing model but wider and taller in comparison to its previous models. Petal shaped headlamps, 12-inch tubeless tyres, and larger tail lights are similar to its predecessor.
New Maruti Alto 800 is targeted at the young Indians. Ten thousand cars have been booked until its launch. Alto 800 looks attractive as it contains wave front design and sloping window lines with a swaying roof as well as petal shaped headlamps, trendy grille, and bumper plus silver accents around the cabin area. The interiors are more spacious and easily reachable, as well as contain three spoke steering wheel. This car is more manoeuvrable as its 12-inch tubeless tyres contain 4.6 metre turning radius. This vehicle has an amazing mileage in both petrol and CNG variants. This car is available in six color variants/refreshing exteriors like frost blue, silky silver, granite grey, superior white, blazing red, and torque blue with the choice of grey and brown colors in its interiors. The granite grey, blazing red and torque blue color variants contains Grey interiors. Frost blue, silky silver and superior white color variants comes with two options of Grey and Brown interiors.

It has started a price war in entry level segment of cars.It can be a choice for those who have blind trust in Maruti but the reality is that market has far better option than it.
